I love Miss A , 2NE1.... all of the girls groups, comedians, actors, idols ; anyway nothing to hate them.
I respect the ranking done by Forbes Korea, but I disagree that ranking (athletes, idol groups, actors, comedians) together = impaired rank
Human tend to make mistakes and have different perceptions, it will be difficult to rank different individuals on the same list with different yardsticks FAIRLY
The main purpose of posting this topic is not to defame any particular individual. On the other hand, it is to act as an example for other fans out there; we may have different opinion, but we can discuss it in a good manner.
The conversations below took place at karaholic.com.
ILOVEU aka ILY
Fantomas : someone from Vietnam who claim that he is one of the most informative Kamilia out there.
Personally, after a long discussion with him, I don't think he is well aware with the what is going on in K-wave.
Fantomas mentioned the statements below: [ Which I do not agree with]
1. Pledis entertainment is a small company.
2. Psy doesn't represent anything like the K-wave right now.
3. Mblaq and BAP is close to noboy in Korea.
4.majorities of International fans excluding from China and Japan, can not buy a single album to support their favourite artist. [ *Note: apparently, he made this statement because he did not interpret the article and statistic correctly from this link Statistic on kpop international sales 2010
5. ......

FORGIVE & FORGET.
I hope that he can take back what he said which was wrong.
I think everyone's bias to begin with and I don't think it's accurate to just judge popularity based on rankings. Yes, it might be true that Pledis might not be the "largest" company out there but I wouldn't consider them as a "small" company either. In my opinion, I'd say they're at the growing stage. Plus the entertainment industry is sort of "shady" to begin with, they tell us to vote but it seems to me that most of the time the voting doesn't change the end result. As for me, I like who I like, but of course to be honest I'd be happy when the groups/artists I like wins an award but even if they don't I couldn't care less anymore cos my love for them won't change!! ^^
